Clinical Fellow in Obstetrics and Gynaecology

(ST1/2 Level)

ASAP for 12 months in the first instance

We are looking for an ambitious, dynamic and enthusiastic junior grade doctor to undertake clinical training towards a middle grade level. The successful candidate will be based at the Princess Royal Hospital, which is a 216 bedded acute General Hospital and the Obstetric Unit covers over 2,500 deliveries per year from East Sussex and nearby area. The hospital deliveries tertiary level care in obstetrics including fetal medicine and high risk pregnancy, minimum access surgery, infertility, gynaecological oncology and urogynaecology. Applications should have at least two years’ experience in the medical profession. Possession of MRCOG Part 1 is desirable.

This opportunity will suit an ST1-2 level trainee who needs to gain experience towards registrar level (ST3-5). The job will include regular attendance at antenatal clinic, general gynaecology clinic, day and inpatient lists in addition to obstetrics and gynaecology on call. A more experienced doctor may be able to complete Advanced Training Skills Modules in Labour Ward, Obstetric Medicine and colposcopy or other modules that may become available.
