We are looking for motivated nurse(s) with a professional outlook to join our team in the Renal Outpatient and Stirling Day Procedures Room. Their is one full time post and one part time 22.5 hours per week available.

The Sussex Kidney Unit is a state of the art purpose-built unit at the Royal Sussex County Hospital and provides a comprehensive range of acute and chronic renal services. The department is located in Brighton and is the hub for Renal Services in Sussex. You will work within a specialised area, providing high quality care to patients with acute and chronic renal failure.

The Outpatient Unit is open Monday to Friday 9.00-17.00 and the Stirling Day Procedures Room is open 07.00-18.00.

We are looking for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to work 37.5 hours per week and a Band 5 staff nurse to work 22.5 hours per week. There will be opportunities to work in both the Outpatient department and Stirling Day Procedures Room.

This post will be suitable for a dynamic, enthusiastic, hard-working individual with experience of working in an acute hospital trust who has an interest in this specialist area or is looking to expand their existing knowledge and skills.

Ideally the candidate would possess renal experience. Those without a renal background can take advantage of our in house training in the form of unit competencies/ mentoring and the Renal Development Programme study days which are organised by our Renal Clinical Educator. We also support participation on the Renal Pathway course provided by the University of Brighton. The unit utilises information technology extensively and IT skills would be advantageous.
