 Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon (New post)

Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust wishes to appoint a full time Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon

We are seeking an outstanding clinician who is fellowship-trained in paediatric orthopaedics. The post holder will support the department by providing trauma and elective services to children in the region. Additionally they will work together to modernise and expand the paediatric orthopaedic department, promoting multidisciplinary working and forging partnerships with neighbouring trusts.

The post will be based at the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital. The hospital has 100 beds including a high dependency unit and a day case facility. The award-winning building is co-located with the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.

Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals is the regional teaching hospital and major trauma centre, providing acute services to Brighton and Hove and Mid Sussex, and tertiary services for patients across Sussex and the south east of England.

Please be aware you only have 12 months from your CCT to join the specialist registrar otherwise you will have to go thorugh the CESR Route.
