We have a full time vacancy for a Clinical Trials Pharmacy Technician.

Your main duty would be to provide a clinical trials pharmacy service across the Trust. You will be expected to:

  • Label and dispense clinical trial medication according to Standard Operating Procedures
  • Check dispensed clinical trial medication (if ACPT accredited)
  • Receive and check deliveries for accuracy and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed and maintained
  • Assist external monitors during their monitoring visits and answer their queries where possible
  • Complete monitoring reports within the allocated timelines
  • Take part in the calibration of temperature monitoring equipment
  • Process monthly workload data
  • Liaise with the accountant and take part in regular clinical trial invoicing
  • Take part in regular pharmacy file reviews and ensure there are kept up-to-date
  • Participate in the training of new member of staff

You must have good communication skills, attention to detail and be able to work under pressure. You will be expected to work effectively both independently and as part of the team. Full training will be provided for this post but IT skills and ACPT accreditation are desirable.

Posts in the Trust are subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Criminal Records Bureau to check for any previous criminal spent and unspent convictions, reprimands, and cautions.

Appointment to this role will commence at the lowest salary point unless confirmed otherwise by HR Employment Services (Recruitment, Administration & Terms and Conditions)

We may also use this advert to build our Bank staff. If you are unsuccessful at interview for a substantive role but meet the BSUH standards you may be offered a bank post.
