The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital (RACH) has a history of progressive and innovative paediatric care embracing medicine, nursing and related professions, children’s nurse training and research. It is one of the leading children’s centres on the South East Coast for tertiary and general paediatrics in a variety of specialties: surgery, gastroenterology, diabetes, respiratory medicine, oncology care and day care services. We also have a busy 24 hour dedicated children’s emergency department, theatre suite and high dependency unit.

Children’s services at the Royal Alex Children's Hospital were considered to be outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.

This is your opportunity to join the children’s nursing team at the Alex and continue to move our acute service forward. You will have support from a strong senior nursing team and a children’s practice development nurse for your ongoing learning and professional development.

We presently have Band 5 vacancy on our surgical ward and this post would suit newly registered staff as well as those with more experience.

We are looking to recruit individuals that can demonstrate exceptional nursing care within their chosen setting and those that are committed to excellence.

You should expect to be supported, supervised, challenged and mentored by our experienced staff. As a new staff member you will complete an orientation period to the clinical area.

Successful applicants will be able to develop their skills alongside highly experienced nurses, using the latest medical and surgical equipment in our renowned teaching hospitals. If you are enthusiastic, keen to develop and have the drive to support the continued improvement of our patient pathway, then we want to hear from you.
